Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White in the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding supporting actress in the Drama Series. Her other roles comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting during her time at the Preparatory School. At the end of the 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna had a brief stint working in Chicago the theatre before moving to TV and film roles. Anna had her first big role as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. After guest appearances as a on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years in Deadwood's second season. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another film she appeared in. Gunn was on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn starred in a four-part audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and the eventual end of their relationship echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of his life.
