Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles in famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. He identified his interest towards acting during his time in the college classroom and then studied acting in the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active in TV and film but his performances on the small screen were what earned him recognition. His ability to portray characters from both sides of the law is a draw for viewers. The first show he worked on was a television show, however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. His performances on small screens were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive facial features is said to be his piercing blue eyes that have helped him portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. He was named as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
